From the lush terraces of Jabal Akhdar to the vast dunes of Wahiba Sands, this 3-day Oman tour brings together contrasting landscapes and some of the country’s most rewarding experiences.
Discover the traditional oasis of Birkat Al Mouz, explore the mountain villages and cultivated terraces of Jabal Akhdar, and continue to Nizwa for its historic Fort and lively Souq.
The journey then moves into the desert for a 4x4 adventure across the dunes and an overnight stay at a desert camp.
The final day combines the tranquillity of Wadi Bani Khaled with the return to Muscat.
DAY 1 – MUSCAT · BIRKAT AL MOUZ · JABAL AKHDAR
Depart from Muscat towards the interior of Oman, with a first stop at Birkat Al Mouz, a peaceful oasis surrounded by gardens and numerous date palms.
Continue towards Jabal Akhdar, known as Oman’s “Green Mountain”. Explore the area’s traditional villages and agricultural terraces, where the cooler mountain climate allows the cultivation of fruits such as apricots, peaches, grapes and pomegranates.
Jabal Akhdar is also known for its traditional rose-water production during the flowering season in April.

DAY 2 – JABAL AKHDAR · NIZWA · WAHIBA SANDS
After breakfast, depart for Nizwa, one of Oman’s most important historic centres.
Visit Nizwa Fort and Nizwa Souq, renowned for traditional silver jewellery and handmade Omani daggers known as khanjars.
Continue towards Wahiba Sands, one of Oman’s most iconic desert landscapes. Enjoy an exciting 4x4 drive across the sand dunes before relaxing at the desert camp.
Overnight at the desert camp.
DAY 3 – WAHIBA SANDS · WADI BANI KHALED · MUSCAT
After breakfast at the camp, leave the desert behind and continue towards Wadi Bani Khaled, one of Oman’s best-known natural valleys.
Enjoy time among the wadi’s natural pools and green surroundings, before beginning the journey back to Muscat.
