Day 1 – Muscat:

Arrival at Muscat International Airport. Transfer to your hotel and check-in.

The rest of the day is at your leisure, a gentle introduction to Oman’s capital. Take a quiet walk, enjoy the sea breeze, or begin exploring the calm streets of this elegant city.

In the evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel, marking the beginning of your Omani journey. Overnight in Muscat. (Meals included: - / - / D)

 

Day 2 – Muscat > Nakhal > Muscat

After breakfast, visit the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, a masterpiece of Islamic architecture.

Please note the dress code:

Women: Headscarf, long sleeves, and full-length trousers or skirt. Men: Long trousers and long-sleeved shirt

Admire the handwoven Persian carpet, one of the largest in the world, and the dazzling Swarovski chandelier in the main prayer hall.

Depart along the northern coastal road with a stop at the Seeb Fish Market, a lively local market where fishermen auction their daily catch, a vivid glimpse into Omani maritime life.

Continue to the Nakhal Oasis, where you’ll take a peaceful walk among lush date palm groves, cooled by natural springs.

Next, visit Bait Nam’an Fort, a traditional Omani watchtower offering panoramic views of the surrounding valley.

Then, explore the Amouage Perfume Factory, where one of the world’s most exclusive fragrances is crafted. Made from over 100 essences, including rare Dhofar frankincense, Amouage is a symbol of Omani luxury and artistry. Discover the intricate process behind this iconic scent. Return to Muscat in the late afternoon. Overnight in Muscat. (Meals included: B / L / D)

 

Day 3 – Muscat > Wadi Shab > Sur > Ras Al Jinz

After breakfast, depart for Sur, with scenic stops along the way. First, Bimmah Sinkhole, a striking 40-metre-wide natural depression filled with bright emerald-green water. Surrounded by limestone cliffs, it’s a perfect spot for photos, and a refreshing dip if you wish.

Continue to Wadi Shab and Tiwi, two stunning wadis surrounded by lush plantations and date palm groves. After a short hike, reach natural pools fed by underground springs, ideal for a swim in the warm Omani sun. Enjoy a picnic lunch in this serene setting.

Arrive in Sur, one of the most important ports on the eastern coast. Visit the Dhow Building Yard, where craftsmen still build traditional wooden boats without nails, a 500-year-old technique passed down through generations.

In the evening, transfer to the Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve, a protected site on the Arabian Sea coast. Accompanied by an expert guide, walk along the beach to observe green sea turtles as they come ashore to lay their eggs (season: November–March). This rare and emotional encounter offers a deep connection with Oman’s natural heritage. Return to your hotel in Sur. Overnight in Sur. (Meals included: B / L / D)

 

Day 4 – Sur > Wadi Bani Khalid > Wahiba Sands

After breakfast, head to Wadi Bani Khalid, a breathtaking oasis with crystal-clear, deep turquoise waters surrounded by palm groves and rocky cliffs. Spend time swimming and relaxing in this natural paradise.

Later, embark on a 4x4 off-road adventure into the heart of the Wahiba Sands, a vast desert stretching over 185 km, home to Bedouin communities for more than 7,000 years. Arrive at the camp, where you’ll be welcomed with traditional Omani coffee (Kahwah) and dates. You may have the chance to meet a local Bedouin family, experiencing their legendary hospitality and learning about their way of life.

As the sun sets behind the dunes, witness a moment of pure magic, the desert glowing in golden light. Enjoy a barbecue-style dinner under the stars, then retire to your room. Overnight in the Wahiba Sands desert camp. (Meals included: B / L / D)

 

Day 5 – Wahiba Sands > Bahla > Nizwa

Wake up to the quiet of the desert. Enjoy breakfast then depart towards Nizwa, with a stop at Sinaw, home to the vibrant Thursday Market, a bustling local souq where you can find fresh produce, traditional clothing, spices, and even camel trading. This is authentic Omani life in motion.

Next, visit Bahla, a historic town surrounded by 12 km of ancient mud walls. The Bahla Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, stands as a symbol of the Nabhani dynasty and traditional Omani architecture. The town is also renowned for its pottery workshops.

Continue through dramatic landscapes to Al Hamra, a village of traditional mudbrick houses, and then to Misfat Al Abriyeen, a mountain village perched on a canyon edge. Walk through narrow alleys of stone dwellings, connected by rock-carved staircases, a timeless place.

Arrive in Nizwa, the cultural heart of Oman and a major commercial hub at the foot of the Hajar Mountains. The city is famed for its souq and rich handicrafts.

Conclude the day with a visit to Bait Al Safah, a 17th-century Omani house restored to showcase rural life. See women grinding grain, preparing traditional remedies, or frying local delicacies, a living museum of heritage. Overnight in Nizwa. (Meals included: B / L / D)


Day 6 – Nizwa > Jabreen > Muscat

Spend the morning in Nizwa. If your visit falls on a Friday, you’ll have the unique opportunity to visit the Nizwa Livestock Market, where traders from across the region gather to sell camels, goats, sheep, cattle, and poultry, a lively, authentic experience. Explore the Nizwa Souq, where you can purchase jewellery, khanjars (the iconic curved daggers in gold and silver), and handmade crafts. Visit Nizwa Fort, a powerful symbol of Omani military architecture, with its 35-metre cylindrical tower.

Depart for Jabreen Castle, one of the most beautiful in Oman, built in 1675 by Imam Sultan Bil’Arab. Famous for its painted ceilings, ornate wooden grilles, and elegant courtyards, it was also a centre of Islamic learning.

Continue to Birkat Al Mauz Oasis, home to an ancient falaj irrigation system, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a marvel of traditional engineering.

Pass through the scenic village of Jabal Akhdar, nestled in the Hajar Mountains, before arriving in Muscat in the evening. Overnight in Muscat. (Meals included: B / L / D)


Day 7 – Muscat: Departure

After breakfast, enjoy some free time at leisure, a final moment to relax, revisit your favourite spot, or pick up last-minute souvenirs.


Later, transfer to Muscat International Airport for your departure flight. (Meal included: B)
