This Oman tour combines culture, nature, history and adventure in one unforgettable journey. Explore Muscat, encounter sea turtles at Ras Al Jinz, swim in Wadi Bani Khalid, experience a 4x4 desert drive and spend a night in a desert camp.
The itinerary also includes Bahla Fort, Jabreen Castle, Al Hamra, Nizwa Fort, Muttrah Souq and the Bimmah Sinkhole, offering an ideal introduction to Oman’s landscapes, heritage and traditions.
Day 1: Arrival in Muscat
Arrival in Muscat, airport assistance and transfer to the hotel. Check-in and free time to relax or explore the city independently.
Day 2: Muscat, Bimmah Sinkhole and Sur
Visit the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and Oman National Museum, dedicated to Oman’s history and cultural heritage. Continue towards Sur with a stop at the Bimmah Sinkhole and a light lunch en route.
In the evening, visit Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve. Turtle sightings depend on the season and natural conditions and cannot be guaranteed.
Day 3: Sur, Wadi Bani Khalid and Wahiba Sands
Visit a traditional dhow shipyard in Sur before continuing to Wadi Bani Khalid, a beautiful oasis with natural pools surrounded by mountains and palm trees.
After lunch, travel by 4x4 through the dunes of Wahiba Sands. Enjoy the desert sunset, dinner and an overnight stay at a desert camp.
Day 4: Wahiba Sands, Bahla, Jabreen, Al Hamra and Nizwa
Enjoy sunrise over the dunes before departing for Bahla and its UNESCO-listed fort. Continue to Jabreen Castle, known for its decorated interiors and traditional Omani architecture.
Visit the heritage village of Al Hamra before arriving in Nizwa, the former capital of Oman.
Day 5: Nizwa and Muscat
Visit Nizwa Fort and the traditional Nizwa Souq. Return to Muscat for lunch, then explore Muttrah Souq and the Corniche overlooking the harbour and the Gulf of Oman.
The historic forts of Al Jalali and Al Mirani can be viewed from outside.
Day 6: Departure from Muscat
After breakfast, transfer to Muscat International Airport for your onward flight.

Oman is a Muslim country, so modest clothing is recommended, especially when visiting the Grand Mosque and local communities. The tour includes long road transfers, outdoor visits, walking on uneven surfaces and desert conditions.
The Grand Mosque is open to non-Muslim visitors during specific morning hours and may be closed on Fridays or during religious occasions. Women must cover their hair, shoulders and legs, while men should wear long trousers.
Swimming at Wadi Bani Khalid is subject to local conditions and appropriate swimwear rules. Turtle sightings at Ras Al Jinz are natural wildlife encounters and cannot be guaranteed.
Respectful clothing is recommended when visiting traditional villages and cultural sites.
