Stepping inside, you’ll be captivated by its grandeur: the world-renowned handwoven Persian carpet, one of the largest in existence, and the 24-carat gold chandelier, an extraordinary fusion of craftsmanship and devotion.

Next, head to the Barka Fish Market, a vibrant hub where locals gather daily for the fresh catch auction. This authentic spectacle immerses you in Oman’s traditional fishing culture, from fishermen proudly displaying their haul to buyers negotiating with passion and flair.

Day 3: Al Wakan Village – Bilad Sayt – Al Hamra – Misfat - Nizwa

After breakfast, your journey continues towards Wadi Bani Awf, a spectacular road winding through the rugged Hajjar Mountains. The route is dramatic: remote villages, sheer cliffs, and natural wonders like the famous Snake Canyon.

As you travel this adventurous path, take in the views of lush green terraces and towering peaks, a true celebration of Oman’s wild beauty.

Your next stop is the charming village of Bilad Sayt, hidden in a valley encircled by majestic mountains. This settlement, with its stone houses and fertile terraces, seems lifted from a painting, a tranquil treasure where time appears to stand still.

Proceed to Al Hamra, one of Oman’s best-preserved villages. Here, mudbrick houses tell an ancient story, some over 400 years old. The narrow, winding alleys transport you back in time, immersing you in an atmosphere rich with history and authenticity.

For lunch, enjoy a local restaurant serving traditional Omani dishes made with fresh ingredients and recipes passed down through generations.

In the afternoon, reach the enchanting village of Misfat Al Abriyeen, perched on the edge of a canyon. This magical place features agricultural terraces carved into the mountainside, fed by the ancient Aflaj irrigation system, a UNESCO World Heritage site. As you walk the narrow, paved alleys, discover stone houses with palm-leaf roofs, set against an emerald-green landscape and breath-taking views of the valleys below.

The day concludes with your transfer to Nizwa, the cultural heart of Oman. After check-in, unwind and reflect on a day filled with unforgettable landscapes and meaningful encounters. Dinner at the hotel, followed by overnight stay. Overnight in Nizwa. (Meals included: B / L / D)

Day 4: Nizwa – Birkat Al Mauz – Jabal Akhdar - Nizwa

After breakfast, head to Birkat Al Mauz, a picturesque village nestled in a lush oasis of palm and banana trees. This tranquil place offers an authentic glimpse into traditional Omani life, with its ancient Aflaj irrigation system, mudbrick houses, and ruins of abandoned buildings whispering stories of the past. Pause to enjoy the peace of this place, where history and nature blend in harmony. From here, continue upwards to the slopes of Jabal Akhdar, the “Green Mountain”, one of Oman’s most stunning regions. As you ascend along winding roads flanked by sheer rock walls, you’ll be captivated by the scenery: green terraces, ancient villages, and panoramic views that stretch endlessly.

Arrive at Wadi Bani Habib, a village perched on the vast plateau of Jabal Akhdar. Here, enjoys a local lunch within this welcoming community, immersing yourself in the culture and traditions of the area.

One of the day’s highlights will be meeting families who still practice the centuries-old art of rose water distillation. Step into their traditional stills, where skilled artisans demonstrate how the fragrant essence is extracted from Damask roses, grown abundantly in this region. This rare opportunity reveals a craft passed down through generations and shows how deeply this essence is woven into Omani culture, used in ceremonies, celebrations, and acts of hospitality. After this meaningful experience, return to your hotel for a moment of relaxation and reflection, surrounded by the gentle silence of the mountains. Dinner and overnight stay. Overnight in hotel. (Meals included: B / L / D)

Day 5: Nizwa – Wahiba

After breakfast, prepare for a day rich in history and natural beauty in Nizwa, the ancient capital where tradition and modernity coexist in perfect balance.

Begin with a visit to the iconic Nizwa Fort Tower. Climbing to the top offers panoramic views of the city below, the lively souk, the endless green oasis, and the surrounding landscape. This architectural marvel not only showcases ancient defensive ingenuity but also gives you a unique perspective on how history and culture intertwine in the heart of Oman.

Next, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the Nizwa Souk, an ancient market that has been the heart of artisan and local trade for centuries. Wandering its narrow, bustling alleys, you’ll discover treasures: intricate silverwork, traditional Khanjars (Omani daggers), textiles, and spices that colour and scent every corner of the bazaar. It’s a true sensory journey into the daily life of this land.

Leaving Nizwa behind, head towards the endless expanse of the Wahiba Sands, one of Oman’s most iconic desert landscapes.

Along the way, stop at the charming village of Al Manzifat, with its mudbrick houses and timeless atmosphere, a genuine glimpse into rural Omani life.

As you approach the desert, be awed by the vast sea of golden dunes, some rising over 100 mt. high. The Wahiba Sands have been home to Bedouin communities for thousands of years, and along the way, you’ll have the chance to meet local families. Listen to their stories, learn about their customs, and experience their warm hospitality, a people living in harmony with the desert.

Driving deeper into the dunes as the sun begins to set, pause to witness a breath-taking desert sunset, a moment of pure serenity in the wild beauty of nature.

Arrive at your desert camp, hidden among the dunes. Spend the night under a sky scattered with thousands of stars, surrounded by the absolute silence of the desert.

Dinner is served at the camp with traditional Omani dishes, carefully prepared and served in an intimate, evocative setting. Let yourself be enveloped by the magic of the desert, ancient tales, the warmth of the fire, and the stillness of the night. Overnight in the Camp at Wahiba Sands. (Meals included: B / L / D)

In the evening, head to the renowned Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve, a protected area dedicated to the conservation of the green sea turtle (Chelonia Mydas), an endangered species.

Accompanied by an expert guide, you’ll experience a moment of deep connection with nature: witnessing sea turtles come ashore under moonlight to lay their eggs. This rare and moving experience brings you close to the fragility and beauty of the natural world.

Day 7: Sur – Wadi Tiwi – Bimmah Sinkhole - Muscat

After breakfast, your day begins in the charming coastal town of Sur, a historic hub of maritime and artisan traditions.

First, visit the famous dhow shipyard, where skilled craftsmen still build these iconic Omani vessels using ancient techniques passed down from father to son. It’s a rare chance to witness a timeless tradition up close.

Next, head to the scenic Al Ayjah Lighthouse, a symbol of Sur’s long maritime history. From here, enjoy breath-taking views of the Omani coastline, serene and picturesque.

Arrive in Muscat in the afternoon, ready to explore some of its most iconic sites.

Photo stop at the majestic Al Alam Palace, one of the Sultan’s residences, flanked by the imposing Al Jalali and Al Mirani forts, remnants of Portuguese rule. A cornerstone of Omani history, it speaks of maritime legacy and territorial defence.

Finally, wander through the bustling alleys of Muttrah Souq, one of Oman’s oldest markets. The air is scented with frankincense and spices, while stalls display silver jewellery, handicrafts, and colourful textiles, the perfect opportunity to take home a unique memory of your journey.
