After breakfast, meet your guide and begin your discovery of Muscat, the Sultanate’s capital, a city founded in the 1st century and historically a crossroads between Arabia, Asia, and Africa.
Start with the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, a masterpiece of contemporary Islamic architecture. Admire its marble domes, the vast handwoven Persian carpet, and the Swarovski crystal chandelier, a tribute to centuries of artistry and faith.
Continue to Al Alam Palace, the Sultan’s ceremonial residence, flanked by the 17th-century Portuguese forts Al Jalali and Al Mirani. Though not open to the public, the complex offers a powerful glimpse into Oman’s maritime and defensive past.
Drive through the old city to the Bait Al Zubair Museum, a restored Omani house transformed into a cultural space. Its collections of costumes, weapons, and crafts tell the story of Omani identity across the ages.
Next, a walk through the Muttrah Souq, one of the region’s oldest markets. Lose yourself in its narrow alleys, scented with frankincense and spices, the perfect place to explore, shop, or simply absorb the rhythm of local life.

Visit the Amouage Perfume Factory, where some of the world’s most luxurious fragrances are born. Discover the art of Omani perfumery, rooted in rare ingredients like frankincense, myrrh, and roses from Jabal Akhdar, a tradition that gained global recognition after the brand’s founding in 1983.
Continue to Wadi Bani Khaled, a natural oasis nestled in a green valley. Its turquoise pools, fed by underground springs, are surrounded by palm groves and dramatic rock formations, ideal for a refreshing swim or peaceful moment in nature. Lunch at a local restaurant or as a picnic.
In the afternoon, drive through the Hajar Mountains toward the Wahiba Sands, a sea of orange dunes stretching over 100 m high. This region has been home to Bedouin communities for over 700 years.
Arrive at Al Wasil, where 4x4 drivers will take you deep into the desert. Here, a Bedouin family will welcome you with traditional Omani coffee (Kahwah), fresh fruit, and soft drinks, a genuine gesture of hospitality. It also served as a centre for Islamic learning. Photo stop at Bahla Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the oldest in Oman. Surrounded by over 12 km of mudbrick walls, it stands as a testament to the country’s architectural ingenuity. Lunch at a local restaurant. A Journey Into the Unhurried Soul of Oman
This is not a country of noise.
It’s a land of silence, the hush of the desert at dawn, the soft lapping of water in a hidden wadi, the quiet dignity of a fort standing guard over centuries.
In six days, you’ll move through a world where time is measured not in minutes, but in sunrises over dunes, steps on ancient stone, and cups of coffee shared with Bedouins.
You’ll wander through Muscat’s incense-scented souq, swim in the turquoise pools of Wadi Bani Khaled, and sleep under a sky so clear.
You’ll meet women grinding flour in a 17th-century mud house, stand at the edge of Oman’s Grand Canyon, and walk through villages where life has changed little in 500 years.
This is not about ticking off sights, it’s about slowing down, about listening to the land, about discovering a country that doesn’t shout, it whispers.
