Continue to Bimmah Sinkhole, a stunning natural depression surrounded by limestone cliffs. Its turquoise waters shimmer in the sun, a perfect spot for photos, and for a refreshing dip if you wish.

Next, journey to Wadi Shab, one of Oman’s most iconic natural wonders. After a short walk through palm groves and rocky paths, you’ll reach crystal-clear pools fed by underground springs. Cool year-round, they’re ideal for a swim, and for those who dare, a small boat ride leads to a hidden waterfall behind a cave. Lunch at a local restaurant or as a picnic. Return to Muscat in the evening. Dinner at your leisure and overnight stay. (Meals included: B / L / -)

Note: The path includes rocky and slippery sections. Trekking shoes are recommended.

Day 3 – Tuesday: Muscat – City Tour & Sunset Cruise

After breakfast, meet your guide and begin your discovery of Muscat, the Sultanate’s capital, a city founded in the 1st century and historically a crossroads between Arabia, Asia, and Africa.

Start with the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, a masterpiece of contemporary Islamic architecture. Marvel at its marble domes, the vast handwoven Persian carpet, and the Swarovski crystal chandelier, a tribute to centuries of artistry and faith.

Continue to Al Alam Palace, the Sultan’s ceremonial residence, flanked by the 17th-century Portuguese forts Al Jalali and Al Mirani. Though not open to the public, the complex offers a powerful glimpse into Oman’s maritime and defensive past.

Drive through the old city to the Bait Al Zubair Museum, a restored Omani house turned cultural space. Its collections of costumes, weapons, and crafts tell the story of Omani identity across the ages.

Next, a walk through the Muttrah Souq, one of the region’s oldest markets. Lose yourself in narrow alleys scented with frankincense and spices, the perfect place to explore, shop, or simply absorb the rhythm of local life.

Lunch at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel in the afternoon for some relaxation. Later, transfer independently to the port for a 2-hour sunset cruise along Muscat’s coastline. Glide over calm waters with views of mountains, beaches, and the city glowing in golden light. After the cruise, return to the hotel. Dinner at your leisure and overnight stay. (Meals included: B / L / -)

Day 4 – Wednesday: Amouage – Wadi Bani Khaled – Wahiba Sands

Breakfast at the hotel. Begin with a drive through the Diplomatic Quarter, where modern architecture blends with traditional Omani design.

Visit the Amouage Perfume Factory, where some of the world’s most luxurious fragrances are created. Discover the art of Omani perfumery, rooted in rare ingredients like frankincense, myrrh, and roses from Jabal Akhdar, a tradition that gained global recognition after the brand’s founding in 1983.

Continue to Wadi Bani Khaled, a natural oasis nestled in a green valley. Its turquoise pools, fed by underground springs, are surrounded by palm groves and dramatic rock formations, ideal for a refreshing swim or peaceful moment in nature.

Lunch at a local restaurant or as a picnic. In the afternoon, drive through the Hajar Mountains toward the Wahiba Sands, a sea of orange dunes stretching over 100 meters high. This region has been home to Bedouin communities for over 700 years.

Arrive at Al Wasil, where 4x4 drivers will take you deep into the desert. Here, a Bedouin family will welcome you with traditional Omani coffee (Kahwah), fresh fruit, and soft drinks, a genuine gesture of hospitality. Enjoy a traditional dinner under a star-filled sky, followed by an overnight stay at the desert camp. (Meals included: B / L / D)

Day 5 – Thursday: Wahiba Sands – Sinaw – Jabreen – Bahla – Nizwa

Wake early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, golden light spilling across the sand, highlighting its ever-changing shapes.

After breakfast, enjoy free time to walk among the dunes or relax at the camp.

Depart by 4x4 to Al Mintrib, where you’ll rejoin the main vehicle for the journey to Nizwa, the cultural heart of Oman.

Stop in Sinaw, a charming village reflecting traditional Omani life. Explore the old village and its local souq, fresh produce, handmade crafts, and authentic atmosphere.

Continue to Jabreen Castle, built in 1675 by Imam Sultan Bin Saif Al-Yarubi. One of the most beautiful and well-preserved forts in Oman, renowned for its painted ceilings, stucco decorations, and intricately carved wooden grilles. It also served as a centre for Islamic learning.

Photo stop at Bahla Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the oldest in Oman. Surrounded by over 12 km of mudbrick walls, it stands as a testament to the country’s architectural ingenuity. Lunch at a local restaurant. Arrive in Nizwa, where we recommend a walk through the souq, famous for khanjars, ceramics, woven baskets, and silver jewellery. Return to the hotel. Dinner at your leisure and overnight stay. (Meals included: B / L / -)

Day 6 – Friday: Nizwa – Al Hamra – Misfat Al Abriyeen – Jabal Shams – Muscat

Breakfast at the hotel. Begin in Nizwa, one of Oman’s oldest cities and a former spiritual and political capital during the Ya’ruba dynasty (1624–1744). Visit Nizwa Fort, with its 35-metre cylindrical tower designed to withstand attacks. If it’s Friday, you may witness the livestock market, a lively scene where camels, goats, and sheep are traded in a vibrant traditional setting.

Continue to Al Hamra, one of Oman’s most picturesque villages. From a nearby viewpoint, enjoy panoramic views over the palm groves below.

Visit Bait Al Safah, a traditional mud house turned living museum. Discover rural Omani life: women grinding grain, preparing remedies, or frying local dishes. You’ll be offered Omani coffee and dates, a gesture of warm hospitality.

Journey by 4x4 to Misfat Al Abriyeen, a village perched on a canyon’s edge, with stone and mud houses connected by rock-carved staircases. A walk through its alleys offers a glimpse into a timeless way of life.

Continue to Jabal Shams, the “Mountain of the Sun”, home to Oman’s dramatic Grand Canyon. Stop for panoramic views of deep valleys and sheer cliffs carved by time.

Lunch at the campsite. In the afternoon, enjoy free time to explore the mountain scenery. Change vehicles and begin the return journey to Muscat by bus or private car. Arrival in the evening. Dinner at your leisure and overnight stay. (Meals included: B / L / -)

Day 7 – Saturday: Muscat – Barka – Ain Thowarah – Nakhal Fort – Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Begin the final day with a visit to the Barka Fish Market, a traditional coastal market where fishermen and buyers meet daily. Observing the auction of fresh fish, tuna, prawns, kingfish, offers a direct immersion into Omani maritime culture.

Continue to Ain Thowarah, a thermal spring oasis nestled among date palm plantations at the foot of the Hajar Mountains. The warm, mineral-rich waters are known for their relaxing properties, a perfect place to pause and recharge.

Final stop: Nakhal Fort, one of Oman’s most striking forts. Built on a rocky outcrop, it stands out for its unique ceiling design, no wooden beams; instead, roofs are supported by columns. With walls over three meters thick, it is a powerful symbol of strength and architectural ingenuity. After the visit, return to Muscat. (Meal included: Breakfast)

Where the Land Still Speaks

This is not a staged Oman.

It’s the real one, where fishermen sell their catch at dawn, and where the desert changes colour with the light.

In seven days, you won’t just see Oman, you’ll live it.

You’ll swim in hidden wadis, sip coffee with a Bedouin family, walk through souqs where the scent of frankincense hangs in the air, and stand at the edge of a canyon carved by time.

You’ll visit ancient forts, mud-brick villages frozen in history, and thermal springs that have soothed travellers for centuries.

This is not about ticking boxes.

It’s about slowing down, looking closely, and feeling a country that moves at its own pace.
