Day 1 — Arrival in Muscat
Upon arrival at Muscat International Airport, a representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, relaxing or beginning your independent exploration of this welcoming city.
Day 2 — Muscat Cultural Exploration
Discover Muscat's treasures, including the Grand Mosque, the elegant Diplomatic Quarter, and the vibrant Muttrah Souq. Visit Al Alam Palace and a local museum before enjoying a scenic sunset boat cruise along the coastline with Omani kahwa.
Day 3 — Wadis and Sur Turtle Reserve
Journey through Oman's natural wonders, exploring the lush canyons of Wadi Shab and Wadi Tiwi, offering opportunities for swimming. Visit the dramatic Bimmah Sinkhole before arriving in Sur, known for its traditional dhow yards. In the evening, observe green sea turtles at Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve.
Day 4 — Wadi Bani Khalid and Wahiba Desert
Experience a scenic coastal drive before reaching Wadi Bani Khalid, an oasis perfect for swimming amidst palm groves. Continue into the mesmerizing Wahiba Sands for a thrilling desert safari. Enjoy traditional Omani hospitality and an overnight stay in a desert camp under the stars.
Day 5 — Ibra, Jabal Akhdar, and Nizwa
Begin with a 4x4 drive to historic Ibra, then ascend to the stunning Jabal Akhdar, the "Green Mountain", known for rosewater production and terraced fields. Explore Birkat Al Mauz, a village with ancient Aflaj irrigation, before reaching Nizwa, the cultural heart of Oman.
Day 6 — Nizwa Forts and Jabal Shams
Explore Nizwa's historic fort and, if Friday, its lively livestock market. Visit the exquisite Jabreen Castle and the imposing Bahla Fort. Discover traditional village life in Al Hamra before an adventurous drive to Jabal Shams, the "Grand Canyon of Oman", for an overnight mountain stay.
Day 7 — Wadi Bani Awf and Departure
Enjoy a scenic "balcony walk" to As Sab village, offering stunning mountain views. Embark on an adventurous off-road journey through Wadi Bani Awf, visiting Bilad Sayt and Nakhal Hot Springs and Fort. Return to Muscat for your onward travel arrangements.
