Day 1: Muscat – Nakhal – Wadi Bani Awf – Jabal Shams

Leaving Nakhal, continue through lush date palm groves, where the air is filled with the sweet scent of dates, until you reach the relaxing hot springs of Ain Thowara. Nestled at the foot of the Hajjar Mountains, these warm mineral-rich waters are renowned for their therapeutic properties, providing a serene stop along the way.

Next, prepare for an exciting adventure as you venture into the picturesque Wadi Bani Awf, considered one of the most beautiful off-road routes in Oman. For about two hours, you’ll navigate through dramatic gorges, where the winding road twists between towering cliffs and rugged terrain. Along the way, discover charming villages nestled in the mountains, such as the captivating Bilad Sayt, with its traditional stone houses and terraced fields that evoke timeless charm.

As the road ascends, marvel at the spectacular Snake Gorge, a striking fissure between the mountains showcasing the untamed beauty of nature. The narrow, winding path adds an element of excitement to the journey, making it one of the highlights of the day.

Finally, arrive at Jabal Shams, the "Mountain of the Sun," the highest point in Oman and home to the magnificent Oman Canyon. At sunset, your guide will help set up the tent camp, creating an authentic and cozy experience between desert and sea. Gather around as dinner is served under a blanket of stars, accompanied by the soothing sound of waves in the background.

Day 7: Al Khaluf Beach – Muscat

Then, board your 4x4 vehicle for the return journey to Muscat, where you will check in to your hotel upon arrival. The rest of the day is free for you to relax at your leisure. Day 8: Muscat

After breakfast, take part in a half-day guided tour to discover the main cultural and historical highlights of Muscat. Begin your journey with a visit to the magnificent Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, an architectural masterpiece that reflects Oman’s rich Islamic heritage. Admire its majestic prayer hall, which houses the world’s largest handwoven carpet and a stunning 24-carat gold chandelier.

Next, head to the iconic Al Alam Palace, the official residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, flanked by the historic Al Jalali and Al Mirani Fortresses. Although the palace is not open to the public, its imposing facade and the grand fortresses offer a glimpse into Oman’s glorious past and its strategic maritime history.
