Tour description
Visit to the magnificent Grand Mosque of Sultan Qaboos, built of sandstone and marble with a main prayer hall featuring a beautiful handmade Persian carpet and a Swarovski crystal chandelier. Visit the Royal Opera House of Muscat, a contemporary architectural masterpiece in Oman. A breath-taking decorative artistry with motifs derived from Islamic, Mughal, Oriental and European art and a collection of rare instruments.
A stop Muttrah Souq, one of the oldest souqs in Oman, a traditional Omani market offering a wide range of goods and souvenirs, such as silver jewellery and incense. Visit Oman’s National Museum, opened in 2016 with the purpose of ensuring that Oman’s cultural is understood and appreciated not only locally, but also internationally. Further, it aims to provide opportunities for cultural expression, innovation, and the transfer of traditional skills and knowledge from one generation to the next.
The last stop will be Al Alam Palace and the two 16th-century Portuguese forts Al Mirani and Al Jalali (exterior only). Drive back to the hotel
