GREEN MOUNTAIN & DESERT
3 Days / 2 Nights
D A Y 1 – MUSCAT / BIRKAT AL MOUZ / JABAL AKHDAR
Driving towards the interior of Oman with a first stop at Birkat Al Mouz with its
tranquil gardens and many date palms. Then to Jabal Akhdar (the green
mountain) exploring the area with its small villages and terrace fields. Due to the
milder and cooler climate many fruits such as apricots, peaches, grapes and
pomegranates are cultivated here. It is also famous for the production of rose
water (IN APRIL). Overnight at Jabal Akhdar.
D A Y 2 – JABAL AKHDAR / NIZWA / WAHIBA
Departure after breakfast to Nizwa. Visit the Fort and the Souq famous for
silver jewellery and handmade traditional daggers (khanjar). We then proceed
to the so-called Wahiba Sands desert. . After a thrilling ride through the sand
dunes you can relax in the camp. Overnight at the camp.
D A Y 3 – WAHIBA / WADI BANI KHALED / MUSCAT
Breakfast at the camp, then heading to Wadi Bani Khaled with its natural pools
and greenery. Having spent time in the Wadi, drive back to Muscat.
