FORTS, DESERT & TURTLES

5 Days / 4 Nights

D A Y 1 – MUSCAT / BIRKAT AL MOUZ / BAHLA / JABRIN / NIZWA

Driving towards the interior of Oman with a first stop at Birkat Al Mouz with its
tranquil gardens and many date palms. Then heading to the huge clay fort in
Bahla known for its pottery workshops, then Jabrin visiting Oman’s most
beautiful fort with its intricately designed interior. Tour ends at Nizwa, check in &
overnight at the hotel

D A Y 2 – NIZWA / AL HAMRA / MISFAT / JABAL SHAMS / NIZWA

First stop is the small town of Al Hamra with its many old mud houses. One of
them, the “Bait Al Safah” has been restored and you can see how people used to
live in the past. A stop at Misfat Al Abriyeen boasting amazing agricultural
terraces, beautiful alleys, and old houses built on top of solid rocks. Up the Jabal
Shams mountain and enjoy the view from the “Grand Canyon”. Return to Nizwa

D A Y 3 – NIZWA / WAHIBA

After breakfast visit the historic Nizwa Fort and the Souq, where traditional
handmade silver jewellery and daggers (Khanjars) are sold.. We then proceed to
the so-called Wahiba Sands desert. Overnight stay at the camp.

D A Y 4 – WAHIBA / WADI BANI KHALED / SUR

Leaving after breakfast to Wadi Bani Khaled, where you can enjoy the greenery
& the turquoise water. Then via the coastal town of Sur, check in & relax. In the
evening you can observe The Turtles in a Sheltered Area on the beach.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

D A Y 5 – SUR / WADI SHAB / BIMMAH / MUSCAT

Departure after breakfast to Wadi Shab, one of Oman’s most renowned Wadis.
Time to hike and enjoy the rugged mountain scenery and natural pools of water.
Last stop at Bimmah Sinkhole, a natural crater filled with water. Proceeding to
Muscat.
